What is?Ǭ†carbon footprint?

A carbon footprint is a measure of the impact our activities have on the environment, and in particular climate change. It relates to the amount of greenhouse gases produced in our day-to-day lives through burning fossil fuels for electricity, heating and transportation etc.The carbon footprint is a measurement of all greenhouse gases we individually produce and has units of tonnes (or kg) of carbon dioxide equivalent.?Ǭ†

?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†

?Ǭ†A carbon footprint is made up of the sum of two parts, the primary footprint (shown by the green slices of the pie chart) and the secondary footprint (shown as the yellow slices).?Ǭ†

?Ǭ†

?Ǭ†1. The primary footprint is a measure of our direct emissions of CO2 from the burning of fossil fuels including domestic energy consumption and transportation (e.g. car and plane). We have direct control of these.?Ǭ†

?Ǭ†
2. The secondary footprint is a measure of the indirect CO2 emissions from the whole lifecycle of products we use – those associated with their manufacture and eventual breakdown. To put it very simply ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú the more we buy the more emissions will be caused on our behalf.

How does the SES muffler reduce carbon footprint?
?Ǭ†
The SES muffler reduces the primary footprint by increasing the horsepower output of an engine due to its low backpressure design. This in turn reduces the fuel consumption, enabling the engine to discharge less CO2 into the atmosphere.
?Ǭ†
?Ǭ†As for the secondary footprint, SES Muffler reduces the component count by close to 40% over traditional mufflers, requiring less energy consumption in the manufacturing process. Additionally, this muffler is manufactured from T1-25 aluminized steel, which considerably extends the life of the product due to resistance to thermal breakdown of the muffler material plus maintenance of the appearance of the product as a result of the rust-inhibiting characteristics of this material.?Ǭ†

EPA plans to classify carbon dioxide as pollutant

The EPA kick-started the regulatory process in April-09 when it proposed declaring carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases as pollutants that jeopardize the public health and welfare. EPA scientists believe the greenhouse gases contribute to global warming by trapping heat in the atmosphere.

Patent Pending on SES Twin Cylinder Muffler

Patented modular design delivers performance at an incredible price. SES has had the best performing muffler on the market for the past few years but it came at a price that was too expensive for most OEM applications. As a result, SES spent the last 2 years developing a manufacturing process [...]

Performance - Low Back Pressure or Low Sound?

Why choose when you can have BOTH!

It the past OEMs had to sacrifice power in order to achieve lower sound emissions when using traditional muffler designs. With SES’ new patented design, OEMs can now have more power while maintaining existing or achieving lower sound levels
